I have over 30 years’ experience in operations, people and project management in a wide range of sectors.
I started my career as PA for the Atomic Energy Authority in London and 6 years later moved into Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs locally for a further 6 years.
I was then offered the opportunity to take on the role of Office Manager and open the UK office for a luxury ice cream brand, moving on after having my second child because I wanted to work closer to home.
Ten years in education followed, starting as an Events Manager and (remote and on-site) Local Authority support for the North West region, quickly becoming a Team Leader, then a Customer and Events Service Manager looking after four teams of support staff and matrix managing a department of 60+ colleagues.
Redundancy led to 3 years of contracting in financial services, followed by 3 years as Business Support Manager for a local telecommunications company.
From the beginning of 2018 to the end of 2020 I contracted remotely for a Swiss pharmaceutical company as a Clinical Documentation Project and Compliance Manager.
I then decided to take a break and focus on learning some new skills, setting up a small charity and finally setting up a home-based business offering business and administrative support to local small businesses, resulting in the launch of Bearwood Business Services.
A long and varied career has given me the opportunity to transfer my skills between sectors and roles and many of the positions I have held have required me to work with various regulatory authorities.
I am solution focused and skilled at ensuring successful relationships in the workplace. I have proven expertise in ensuring operational efficiency and highly functioning teams by enabling staff to achieve their potential through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
I was born and bred locally and live in Winnersh with my husband. Over the years I have been involved in the community as a school Chair of Governors, through the Winnersh fete, and with grass roots football.
